What are the options available to migrate Windows XP to Windows 7

As we all aware, Windows XP is going to Rest in Peace on 8th of April 2014. So organization needs to plan out how and when they do this migration. At glance it is not an easy task specially when it comes to user state data. Because users have their data in the machines. So we have to make sure the user data is not going to miss.

However, after 8th of April 2014 Microsoft will no longer give any support or patch updates for XP. So what is the risk we have in future? !!!!! Hackers are Welcome and No support for any technical issues. Therefor, to safe guard our end we have to take necessary actions.

Therefor, considering all the above factors, there are couple of methods you can do.

1-How about using SCCM ?

With SCCM you can do it in very gentle manner from a central location and pretty much easy

2- How if you don’t have SCCM in house?

Then you can user Microsoft free tools for this.
